Headshot Photography Sessions
Frequently Asked Questions
Your session will take place outdoors in the Snoqualmie, Washington Area.
We are surrounded by beautiful scenery in the Snoqulamie Valley offering endless locations you can choose from. Downtown Snoqulamie, any of the local parks, on the banks of the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River, Rattlesnake Lake or simply with Mount Si as the backdrop.
If you have a location that you love that’s where I want to photograph you. If you don’t have a specific location in mind. No worries, I have plenty of ideas and compiled a list of Session Location options to choose from.
First of all, we are going to have a great time. On the day of the session we’ll meet at location we agreed on during the consultation. We’ll start off by walking around the location, I will be looking for areas with excellent light that offer interesting backgrounds. I will be photographing along the way, often times those spontaneous moments produce the best images.
Most clients are usually a little nervous at the start of the session. Eventually everyone relaxes and has a great time. As the photographer I will always give suggestions on where to stand, what to do with your hands, where to look, etc. Trust me, your session is going to be fun!
To lock your date, the full session fee a non-refundable retainer is required to be paid in full and a signed contract. The retainer covers the time of your session, talent of the photographer and of course the creative touch that sets Erik Alston Photography apart!
It is completely understandable that people get sick and that the weather doesn’t always cooperate. If you or someone in your crew gets sick, we can reschedule for another date.
If you do need to reschedule, please call us at least 48 hours in advanced. The retainer is non-refundable; you may use it for a one-time reschedule (if called within the 48-hour window) to be scheduled within six months of your original appointment date.
Prior to your session, either by phone, through email or we can meet up for coffee. We’ll discuss the details of your upcoming photo session so we’re set up for success and for a great time on the day of your session. During the consultation, we go over location options, weather, time, ideas and any other questions you have regarding the session. We will discuss ways to display your portraits and any questions you have about cost.
During your consultation, we’ll schedule an ordering appointment, which will take place 10-14 days after your photo session. We’ll unveil the images from your shoot in a slideshow format. Make sure all decision makers are present for the ordering appointment. This is when your final decisions about what to order are made. Plan on the appointment taking one to two hours.
At the time the order is placed, please be ready to pay 100% of your total order. Orders are custom-made and are therefore non-refundable. Just keep in mind we can’t process your order until we receive full payment. Balances must also be paid in full to receive any digital or yearbook images.
We do offer payments plans and once the order is 100% paid off, we’ll then process the order.
Your portraits will be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after your order is placed. Custom items could take 4-6 weeks. Please allow us the time needed to provide you with the quality you expect.
We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Amex.
Absolutely! If you would like your portraits shipped, a shipping and handling fee is applied to your order.
